![]() The Next Full Moon Includes an Eclipse on August 7/8! An eclipse occurs when the Sun and Moon come together with one of the Nodes of the Moon, which are called Rahu and Ketu in the Vedic system of Astrology. They are exciting to learn about from an astronomical point of view, but also have deep significance for us. The shadow planets, Rahu and Ketu, are often referred to as snakes, and represent the underworld, and unconcious forces. We all have a shadow side and eclipse season gives us the opportunity to see this. If we can uncover and accept our hidden side we will change our lives. If you are unhappy and want to change, then this is your opportunity to see the truth and change your life. For example, observe what you are blaming in others and realize this is a part of your shadow. Blaming is projection. Take your power back by being proactive to change yourself and circumstances. When you do this, you will be creating a happier, healthier future. ☺ There is a partial lunar eclipse on August 7/8, and a total solar eclipse August 21. The energies become very unstable around an eclipse so it is a good idea to lay low and not overexert yourself at this time, to avoid injury. A view of the Moon as it moves into and through eclipse. It may appear red in the centre of the eclipse because it is being lit up by scattered light from the earth’s atmosphere. Otherwise it would be invisible. Have a great week, and enjoy your summer!
