Release Yourself From a State of Rejection

3/21/2018

We always have a choice in how we want to be living, thinking and feeling. Our mind can choose to be planted in the ego's lair or to be immersed in a spiritual sanctuary. When we are in " a state of rejection" our mind is trapped in the ego and focuses on negative situations, past hurt, is judging other people or focusing on what is lacking in his or her life. Being in this state makes it is easy to want to look at others mistakes and replay past experiences that reflect how these people are at fault. The person has a difficult time looking at themselves and their ability to shift what is no longer serving them.  When one places their mind in their spiritual sanctuary they are able to look at the situation much more objectively. For example when a person is noticing that they are ready to forgive someone they are feeling much more sympathy and understanding about the other person's point of view.  They feel more neutral and possibly even more loving and they feel ready to start a conversation. Having a open and generous attitude creates much more possibilities for change, better relationships and a greater self-awareness.

New Year's Resolutions

1/18/2018

Are you wanting success with New Year's Resolutions?

New Year's has officially passed and you may have set some intentions. This is sometimes a disappointing exercise, and I have some light to shed on this for you, and some help.

You need to realize that January 1 is not energetically a time of new beginnings - it was arbitrarily set by Pope Gregory in the 15th Century because January 1 kept drifting further and further away from the winter solstice. The new calendar is more stable and January 1 is always 10 days after the solstice.
So, when is the REAL New Year?

There are two important cycles here, and three dates to consider.

1. You could celebrate the return of the Sun at the Winter Solstice. This time marks the turning of the seasons and is an important marker in our lives.

2. You could celebrate and mark January 1, a convenient date on our current calendar.

3. Or, you could adopt the Vedic New Year, which happens Saturday, January 13. On this date the Sun Transits into the sign of Capricorn.

In South India, they don't start any new projects till this date. The time up until then is used for getting rid of old stuff. Then on the 13th, they will literally take their old stuff into the streets and burn it! Now that's a statement!
So if you could use a re-boot, I suggest you take the next couple days for resting and planning, and then get started on or after the 13th.

The rationale for this is below.

(I also give you permission to reboot as many times as you need, you are worth it!)
Some of you may say, but the Sun moves into Capricorn on December 21!)

When Astrology was new in the West, about 2000 years ago, the Solstice and the movement of the Sun into Capricorn DID coincide, but this will not be happening again for about 24,000 more years! We are dealing with two separate cycles here.

So, why is the movement of the Sun into Capricorn so important?

Capricorn is a very grounded earth sign, ruled by Saturn. Capricorn symbolizes success through hard work, and this is a great energy for starting new projects and changing habits.

During the last month, the Sun has been in Sagittarius, which is very optimistic and energetic, but not grounded at all. It's a good environment for celebrations, and setting high expectations, but not so good for carrying them out.

Life is Like knitting

Life is like Knitting

If you want to knit a sweater you go to the store and you choose your pattern. Then The wool, hopefully it excites you to imagine the sweater completed
You then take out your knitting needles, and you have to pay attention to the pattern How many stitches etc. Most people that knit are getting pleasure out of creating the sweater. Eventually the sweater is finished, and you have a sense of pride and accomplishment in the finished garment. Yet you miss the process of knitting so you choose another pattern and start your next project.

So think of life the same way. You choose your finished product. You get excited about planning the steps. You follow the pattern, either one you designed, or you use somebody else"s  pattern. Then you pay attention to the process enjoying what you are doing daily. When your goal is met you take pride in the accomplishment. However you make sure you choose another project and enjoy the process of creating your life daily. Remember if you drop a stitch pick it up right away. This is so you don't have to unravel to far  back. In other words focus on the now with the desired outcome firmly in sight.

Enjoy the process.

FEAR- How to Move from Ego to Soul

11/8/2017

It’s easy to get swept by your emotions when faced with a threatening experience. Whether it involves being afraid of not completing a project on time, having a fear of losing a friend or a fear of not reaching another person’s expectations. Amaya Pryce states in her article, “How Your Ego Thrives on Fear,” describes how the ego’s self-appointed function is to help you get what you think you need from the world and stop you from losing what you have. It’s a false sense of self. Our ego can easily be set off at any moment. Our soul on the other hand is fearless and operates with love. It truly wants the best for us. When a person responds from their soul they do so in a gentle and calm way and can reach the heart of the matter.
5 Hypnosis and NLP tools to release fear-
  1. Don’t distract or dismiss the fear- Breathe deeply as you experience the feeling
  2. Ask- Ask your fear key questions- What can I change? What is not in my control? What do I need to learn?
  3. Are you in a strong emotional state to make the change? Are your perceptions the reality?
  4. Visualize the fear as a matter of colour in your body and imagine pushing this fear out of your body with each breath until you see it completely release from your toes. Repeat if necessary.
Imagine the best possible outcome – seeing, feeling and experiencing relief in a near future scenario. And keep breathing in that positive feeling making it bigger and stronger.

Why do we argue; Who is right. You, or me?

10/3/2017

We can all recall a time when we became emotional, upset or angry with someone in our life. We can think back to how quickly that emotion bubbled to the surface and how terribly we reacted. An article written by Julia Flood, titled, "Why Do We Feel the Need to Argue?" discusses when a person feels threatened in some way there is an instinctual response. It’s natural to want to go into a state of emotion which creates a response such as fighting. If an animal encroaches on another animal’s territory and they fight until one of them surrenders. When we feel triggered by a loved one we can feel threatened. Sometimes we say or do something to try and make that person feel the same level of hurt that we feel.

Our brain has the ability to learn new behaviours and new skills and it’s called neuroplasticity. By practicing to be more present with the situation, reflecting on past mistakes and having more recognition of your prejudices and beliefs one can learn to change that instinctual response. And remember if you are arguing about something for more than 5 minutes it’s probably more about you than it is about the other person. Most of the time your loved one does not intentionally set out to hurt you.

Friday Meditation Topic with Sanjeev!

Overcome Relationship, Separation problems by Power of Meditation

We are lacking love therefore divorce, separation happens. We say I love you but how can you love others without loving yourself. First of all, you need to love yourselves more and more and then you can love others as well and it happens when you go inside and investigate yourself who you really are. Lack of appreciation and gratitude are the main reasons of separation. There is no right alignment of thought frequency and lack of trust and sharing and caring as well. It also happens when people start judging and labeling each other.

Meditation helps us to develop right alignment of thought frequency and create abundance and aware us about gratitude and heal us from inside. It helps us to connect with everything in order to become and stop judging and labeling as well. The final purpose of meditation is to emit the fragrance of love and compassion.

September Equinox

9/25/2017

An equinox occurs when the tilt of the Earth's axis is neither away or towards the Sun. At this time, the center of the Sun is exactly above the Earth's equator. The word equinox means "equal night" in Latin because during an equinox the day and night will be of equal length.

The September Equinox is the midway point through the astrological year and is where we start harvesting and taking stock of what we have planted since March.

Whatever goals and intentions we planted during that time are likely to be blossoming to their fullest potential, as long as they have been watered and nurtured during the months in-between.
Each season has a specific and essential job that we rely on for our very existence. The equinox and solstice points are sacred markers in time that help us connect the dots to the mystery behind the Earth's never ending circle of life.

Best wishes for a happy fall season as we prepare to enter the darker, more inward time of the year.

I tried Reiki for Stress Management - This is what I found

9/14/2017

The past five years have brought what seemed to be a never-ending tale of stressful experiences resulting in stress and anxiety. I have tried most all of it; Spa treatments, every style of yoga you can imagine, regular massage treatments, counsellors, all kinds of exercise (running, swimming, spin class to name a few), ultra fad diets tipping the palate in extremes from one side to the other in attempts to purify and cleanse myself. Alas, none of those above seemed to help manage and help reduce the stress and anxiety for sustained periods of time.

My session couldn't have come at a better time. Emotions from a long standing divorce process, new love and continual growth in being a Mum, I was definitely in need of some healing. A quick chat with Steve to share my current situation, I lied down face up and the Reiki process began.

Once the actual Reiki portion of the session, I fell into a calm, meditative state and felt a slight tingling energy began to fill my body, as Steve held his hands over different areas, guiding the energy where needed. “During the Reiki part of the session, I allow the Reiki to guide my hands to areas that may need more or less energy,” he said.

After the session ended, Steve and I had another quick chat to talk about how I was feeling. I was definitely a little bit lightheaded, but I felt nothing short of amazing. It was actually pretty incredible, I felt as if I was floating; I was on a natural high.  I felt a sense of calm.

So is Reiki the answer to my stress and anxiety dilemma? I can ascertain it helped a great deal, though it’s something that I’ll need to keep up with. Steve suggested returning once-a-month maintenance is a healthy way to keep your anxiety at bay.

He also recommended it for anyone suffering post-election anxiety and grief. “Reiki is superb at treating anxiety, depression, mental instability, grief, and fear,” he said.

I’ll most definitely be back, and will be incorporating Reiki into my regular self-care regimen.

Astrology News: Week of September 11, 2017

Jupiter moves into Libra on September 12.  This is one of the most important transits this year and will affect all of us, and the world itself, in noticeable ways. Jupiter is the planet that brings the most upliftment in our lives. It has to do wirth spirituality, banking, children, higher education, and also signifies the husband if you are female.

Jupiter’s gemstone is the yellow saphire.

Libra, Jupiter’s new home, is the sign of balance and fairness, love, careful speech, and beauty. These are the topics that will be emphasized over the next 13 months.

The area of your life that will be most influenced during the transit will depend on what your ascendant is . For instance, if your ascendant is Aries, the focus will be your seventh house of relationships and partnerships.

On the world scene, Jupiter in Libra will bring more peace and balance to the world. The ability to compromise and find justice is a Libra quality. This placement in an air sign also predicts much colder winters globally for the year.

Special  September reading:  Get a transit reading for only $70 and find out how your next year will look. I will also include the upcoming Rahu-Ketu transit, which is  very important as well.
