This week is a good time to acquaint ourselves more with the Vedic archetype GANESHA. In Eastern countries he is revered as the Elephant-headed God. He is a mythical being of great wisdom and compassion. In other traditions he may be seen in the form of Thoth, or perhaps Odin. Regardless of the form, here are some of his attributes:
Ganesha is: -The most compassionate being -The energy that can fulfill deires and remove obstacles -Extremely intelligent: he can go to the centre of the universe and instantly get answers to problems -The God of math: math is vital, everything depends on it: time, ability to organise, space -A shiny being, like the other deities. If you contact him, he will come and help you understand what obstacles you may face, or remove ones as they come up! The reason I am bringing this forward now is that this is a traditional time to celebrate his birthday. The celebration began August 25, and will end September 5. As well as this special time, any 4th Moon phase is a great time to access his wisdom and help.
