It is where an inflatable silicone device is placed around the top portion of the stomach. The placement of the band creates a small pouch. This pouch holds around half a cup of food. (The typical stomach holds about 6 cups of food.) This pouch fills with food quickly, and the band slows the passage of food from the pouch to the lower part of the stomach. As the upper part of the stomach registers to the brain as full, it sends a message and the brain interprets that the entire stomach is full. This helps the person to be hungry less often, feel full more quickly and for a longer period of time, eat smaller portions, and consequently lose weight over time. Although this surgery is safer and less invasive than other similar types of surgery such as stomach stapling, it is still not without its risks. The high costs involved are a barrier to many people. They can guide you into a trance and talk you through the procedure as if it is actually happening. On a conscious level you will be aware that you have received hypnotherapy, but on a subconscious level you will believe you have actually received surgery. This is important as the subconscious mind is responsible for your automatic habits. If it believes that you are no longer able to eat as much, then it will act accordingly.
It isn’t a problem that the conscious part of the mind is aware that you haven’t undergone surgery – the two can coexist just fine with different beliefs. So a person can, on a conscious level, know very well that they have received hypnotherapy, but their subconscious mind can fully believe it has undergone a medical procedure, and behave accordingly.

The body remains the same, it’s just that the subconscious mind, the part responsible for automatic urges and habits, believes and acts like actual surgery has been done. I can’t even put into words how much better I feel.
I used to be tired even after getting a full nights rest. Back pain, neck pain, chronic fatigue, severe digestive issues. You name it. I’ve tried more diets than you can think of and no matter what exercise regime I embarked on my health wouldn’t get better. Once I made changes to my daily habits I started seeing some progress. This has been a hard journey but I’m happy I stuck with it.

This is my mother who has lost over -50lbs. Looking back at the before picture my mother could not believe how much weight she had gained over the years. She had trouble walking for long periods of time, she had back aches, headaches, adrenal fatigue and much more. To get these results we started with small daily changes that we could incorporate. We started by changing her breakfast and adding a 15-minute workout every day. She often switched from walking to workout videos on YouTube. Little by little we made changes and we kept her weekends a little more relaxed as far as diet and exercise. It’s not about what you do occasionally, it’s about what you do consistently.
