We always have a choice in how we want to be living, thinking and feeling. Our mind can choose to be planted in the ego's lair or to be immersed in a spiritual sanctuary. When we are in " a state of rejection" our mind is trapped in the ego and focuses on negative situations, past hurt, is judging other people or focusing on what is lacking in his or her life. Being in this state makes it is easy to want to look at others mistakes and replay past experiences that reflect how these people are at fault. The person has a difficult time looking at themselves and their ability to shift what is no longer serving them. When one places their mind in their spiritual sanctuary they are able to look at the situation much more objectively. For example when a person is noticing that they are ready to forgive someone they are feeling much more sympathy and understanding about the other person's point of view. They feel more neutral and possibly even more loving and they feel ready to start a conversation. Having a open and generous attitude creates much more possibilities for change, better relationships and a greater self-awareness. Lisa Woykin Hypnotherapist
